To celebrate Navaratri the students of B.Sc (IT) organized a Garba and Dandiya Night on 7th October 2008. This event was a grand success with over 150 students participating in the competition. It was organized by a core committee comprising of Swati Sinha, Rajni Raj, Kavita Punera, and Vijit Ghosh. The overall co-ordination was done by Mr. Bhushan Datar.

The event was kicked off by a Durga Puja and Aarti. Col.Raj Duggal (Director Academics), Col. R. Manoharan (COO) and Col. Gomes (GM-PGD Courses) were among the Management team of amplify who atteded the function.  As the evening progressed students grooved to peppy Garba and Dandiya numbers. The students were all decked up in traditional Gujrati and Rajasthani outfits. Cash Prizes for Best Dressed Male, Best Dressed Female, Best Garba and Best Dandiya were given.

Overall the event was a great success and students were in favour of having more and more such events.
